McD's Supporting Galway Hospice
Galway Hospice established on the 3rd November 1986 was the fulfilment of a dream of local doctors and nurses, who came together recognizing a lack of hospice services for the people of Galway city and county.
The mission of Galway Hospice, as partners with the Health Service Executive, is to support patients from counties Galway, Mayo and Roscommon with advanced diseases needing palliative care to attain the best quality of life possible.
Proud Sponsors of Galway Hospice
Here at McD's we are proud to support this cause. Over the last few years we have been part of a team of sponsors that in different ways seek to raise money for this important mission.
One of the actions carried out in partnership with Galway Hospice during the pandemic was to offer the opportunity for "virtual walkers" to create another lasting legacy at the 2021 Memorial Walk – with all who registered receiving a packet of sunflower seeds from McD's
Galway Memorial Walk 2022
For this year's Galway Memorial Walk 2022, we donated a Two Seater Rattan Hideaway Set to be raffled in aid of Galway Hospice. A great prize for a worthy cause, this special event celebrates loved ones that are no longer with us.
Lighting Up Galway Hospice this Christmas
Furthermore, we are also donating Christmas Trees and Lights this festive season to Galway & Mayo Hospice, just like we did last year. Providing some much needed sparkle and festive joy this Christmas.
In 2020, we also helped Galway Hospice during Christmas by selling Cards & Candles from Our Online Shop with all proceeds going to the Galway Hospice Foundation.
At McD’s we’re committed to building a lasting relationship with Galway Hospice to meet their objectives while making a real difference to the lives of local people.
