Radish are one of the simplest and quickest of vegetables to grow. An open site is best. Midsummer sowings can also be made in light shade or inter-sown between other, slower maturing vegetables. In summer the best radishes are produced when grown with plenty of moisture. If they happen to run to seed, the seed pods are also edible. Remember they are brassicas, so rotate accordingly, especially with winter radishes, which are in the ground for longer than summer-cropping ones.
